WHEN SEEKING ANIMAL CHIROPRACTIC CARE…BE CERTAIN TO:
Check where your doctor was trained. They should be CERTIFIED IN ANIMAL CHIROPRACTIC to best provide stellar care and proper adjustments for your pets. In most states being trained specifically in animal chiropractic is not required. Dr. Kelly does not recommend you see an individual who does not have this certification. Note-you must be a doctor to receive this certification.
Know that each spine is slightly different. Chiropractic is not only about “moving a bone,” it is an involved, often 4+ year, intensive academic program of learned techniques, skills and science after ones undergraduate degree has been achieved. Animal Chiropractic training is additional education on top of this.
CHIROPRACTIC TREATMENT REQUIREMENTS
In Idaho, NO veterinarian exam is required unless veterinarian sees fit.
In Idaho, Dr. Kelly does require a Certified Veterinarian to refer your animal for her services. Nothing needs to be signed but for your convince and records if you would like there is a form that is provided to you FREE by Dr. Kelly. You can find this form under Required Documents. Simply fax or drop off this form for your veterinarian to sign. The signature is not required but the referral is.
